Ashton Kutcher first 1 million followers in Twitter

Ashton Kutcher is the first to reach 1 million followers in a Twitter contest with CNN. Kutcher challenged CNN to the Twitter race, saying he would donate 10,000 mosquito bed nets to charity for World Malaria Day in late April if he beat CNN, and 1,000 if he lost. CNN agreed to do the same. Seems that people want to hear the news from a celebrity and not a news channel, means a man’s voice can be as powerful as a media network, but really what does Ashton Kutcher have to say that’s so interesting?

I just read on CNN that if you tried to unfollow Ashton Kutcher you would get an error message. So either someone cheated or CNN is being a sore looser. That said, I can see how Ashton would be more popular than CNN amont the Twitter demographics. Man, I’m still debating on setting up an account. I’ll probably just do it to see what all the hype is about.
