The whole movie is about a guy who forgot to vote on election night and tries to do so before the polls close. It’s really a great film about racism and it portrays pretty well how some of the Danes and other nationalities living here think. (The movie has English subtitles, I watched it in a Danish class without them and I really didn’t understand much of it, but lucky for me I found this youtube version). Let me know what you think about it. :)

Poantele sunt bune, actorii joacă bine, Ryan Gosling și Steve Carell sunt foarte haioși, iar filmul are un twist drăguț la final.

Submarine (2010) este povestea unui adolescent, jucat foarte bine de Noah Taylor, care încearcă să-și țină părinții împreună și în același timp să-și facă o prietenă. Mi-a plăcut modul de redare inedit al poveștii, iar un plus a fost coloana sonoră cântată de Alex Turner de la Artic Monkeys.

Buna! Ce faci? (2010) este o comedie simpatică. Îmi place să văd un film românesc care nu vorbește despre comunism, sărăcie sau cât de nasol este în România.  E adevărat că încearcă să semene cu comediile romantice americane, dar pe mine nu m-a deranjat asta.

Nowhere Boy (2009), o dramă biografică, prezintă adolescența lui John Lennon, începuturile carierei sale și problemele legate de mama sa. Filmul este captivant și merită să-i dați o sanșă chiar dacă nu sunteți fani Beatles.

Recunosc că mă uit la o gramadă. La câteva ar trebui să renunț pentru că nu mai sunt așa grozave, dar voi mai acorda o șansă noilor sezoane.

Vor începe în forță: Modern Family (21 sept), The Big Bang Theory si Grey’s Anatomy (22 sept), The Good Wife (25 sept), Gossip Girl (26 sept), Dexter (2 oct), House MD (3 oct) și South Park (5 oct). Aștept cu interes și un nou tv show numit New Girl (20 sept) în care joacă Zooey Deschanel (500 Days of Summer). True Blood, Weeds și Breaking Bad au început deja, așa că sper să am timp de toate.

This one is great if you’re in the mood for a typical Disney animation.

Blue Valentine (2010) is a touching romance drama with exceptional acting by Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling

The King’s Speech (2010) – Before watching this movie, I thought it might be a little boring, but it kept me captivated through out the whole film. I’m beginning to really like Colin Firth, I also loved him in A Single Man and Girl with a Pearl Earring.

Never Let Me Go (2010) is a sad romantic drama, with a bit of science fiction in there. The main idea of the movie is a little disturbing, but Carey Mulligan and Andrew Garfield play really well.

The Town (2010) stars Ben Affleck and Jon Hamm from Mad Men and that’s kinda why I wanted to see this movie. But besides the good looking fellas, it’s quite a nice action, crime drama.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) – I was pretty skeptical about seeing it, but it turned out to be quite entertaining till the end. It’s a good fantasy comedy and I especially liked the way the movie was shot, it has quite an unique fast-paced style.
