This is a pretty lovely short animated film directed by Grégory Damour named Dans La Tête.
Antoine Betrand, a young man leaves his girlfriend Anna, to enroll in the army. In a day of conflict, he receives a bullet in the head. Antoine will then arrive at the gates of Paradise. Watch the movie to see what happens next. The film is in French, but it has English subtitles. Enjoy!
