Jack White and Norah Jones are working together with Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi on their forthcoming album entitled Rome, that will come out this May. This is a chart of the ionizing radiation dose a person can absorb from various sources. The unit absorbed dose is “sievert” (Sv) and measures the effect a dose of radiation will have on the cells of the body. One sievert (all at once) will make you sick and too many will kill you, but we safely absorb small amounts of natural radiation daily.
Note: The same number of sieverts absorbed in a shorter time will generally cause more damage, but your cumulative long-term dose plays a big role in things like cancer risk.

It’s been a little quiet around here on the blog because last week I went on a little trip to Scottish lands, Edinburgh to be precise. It’s a wonderful city I tell you, near the North Sea, with amazing architecture, a beautiful castle and a small hill (251 m) called Arthur’s Seat from where you can get amazing views of the surroundings.
First, the people there seem nice and friendly and they sure know how to have fun, no matter what age. They are huge rugby fans and we just happened to be there while a big game was on between Italy and Scotland, so the whole time we were there, we heard only Italian and Scottish accents everywhere. Speaking of that, I could barely understand a word they were saying, it totally sounds like a different language, not English.
If you ever go there, you should definitely visit Edinburgh Castle, Camera Obscura, a very fun optical illusion museum, Calton Hill and Arthur’s Seat for great views of the city. The pubs were much nicer than in London. Almost all were opened until late (3 am) and many of them had live music with typical Scottish bands or rock acts. If you need recommendations for places to stay, eat or go out, let me know.
All in all it was a very good trip and I’ll let the photos speak now.

Tocmai am aflat de superba campanie Quickmobile. Daca vrei sa fii primul blogger din Romania care se joaca cu un iPad 2, trebuie sa-ti alegi un produs de pe site-ul quickmobile.ro si sa spui de ce iti place.
Am cautat o groaza prin miile de produse de pe site, insa cand am dat ochii de CANON EOS 600D KIT 18-135MM … nimic nu a mai contat. Pur si simplu bijuteria aceasta de la Canon iti ia ochii. Si cum vechiul meu Canon EOS 400D se apropie de pensie … cred ca este cea mai potrivita continuare. Pe langa multele imbunatatiri aduse fata de modelul meu … ce ma incanta cel mai mult la EOS 600D este filmare FullHD 1920 x 1080 (29.97, 25, 23.976 fps) . Pana la upgrade insa … trebuie sa mai astept un pic, asa ca pana atunci tineti-mi pumnii la tragere la sorti in data de 25 martie realizata de chinezu
