EMMY winners 2010

Some of my favourite tv series won this year at the Emmys. I’m very happy about Jim Parsons winning the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in “The Big Bang Theory“. I just love this show and Jim makes a great role playing doctor Sheldon Cooper, a comics lovin physicist, incapable of understaning many human feelings. I’m also happy about Mad Men winning the award for outstanding drama series and for Bryan Cranston and  Aaron Paul from “Breaking Bad“for winning . Breaking Bad is a crime, drama serie about a high school chimestry teacher who finds out he has last stage cancer and starts cooking and selling meth with a former student in order to secure his family’s financial future.

mad men – new season

Mad Men is an awesome tv show starting it’s third season on the 16th of August. The show’s got drama, mystery, romance, it’s set in the ’60 in an advertising agency, features handsome and talented ad executives and beautiful secretaries and house wives. You can read an interesting and extensive article in Vanity Fain about season 3 and the views of writer Matthew Weiner, who also worked for the Sopranos show ( notice the remarkable photos of characters Don and Betty Draper in the article). If you haven’t seen the first two seasons, you should definitely watch them, I can’t wait for the latest to start :D

autumn’s only delight

As a good friend of mine said ..this is going to be a busy year :D And I’m not talking about school..but about tv serials. I love this period because all my favorite shows start new series. Here’s a short list of what I’ll be watching these cold autumn and winter days..warmly tucked inside the bed:

Prison Break – started on 1st of September

Gossip Girl – started on 1st of September

House M.D. – started on 16th of September

Grey’s Anatomy – will start on 25th of September

Dexter – will start on 28th of September

Californication – will start on 28th of September

Pushing Daisies – will start on the 1st of October

And as if these were not enough..I’ve decided to check out Emmy winners Breaking Bad and Mad Men and a very successful show in America One Tree Hill, which is already at it’s 6th season that began airing this September. If you know any other tv serial worth watching, i’m opened to suggestions :)
